Odie is getting way too into character.

I don't blame him. Odie was the best written character.

Garfield is such a judgmental asshole.

I saw this special when it first aired to mark GARFIELD's 10th birthday in 1988.

Also, five stars for "What Shall I Be?" from GARFIELD'S HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE used as background music at 1:00.

Me too, I'd forgotten all about it.

I'm about 90% sure I still have a VHS tape with this special on it dating back to the original airing.

The thing I remember best about this special was a sneak preview of GARFIELD AND FRIENDS with Jon singing "Eat, Garfield, Eat". Also, there was a bit where two composers, I want to say one of them was Desiree Goyette (also the voice of Arlene), composing a song called something like "We've Got It All and That Ain't Bad" in only around two hours. They said it was going to be used for the GARFIELD: HIS NINE LIVES special, but I don't think it ended up being used for anything (other than demonstrating the process of quickly composing a song in this special).

Garfield was a better Peter Venkman than Peter Venkman was a Garfield.
