No logic whatsoever! Here's a gem from WP:

"[At the end] he reveals Stephanie, who is alive but hooked up to a special torture device, which gave her pain whenever Steve climbed a rope in the Lodge. He releases her from the device and explains to Steve that everything in Harvest is created by a virtual reality simulator, which he and Stephanie are hooked up to. The Sergeant at Arms explains that this simulation was created in hopes of successfully turning Steve into a serial killer in real life. He then gives Steve a final ultimatum: Marry and live out the rest of his life and die of old age with Stephanie in the virtual reality that is Harvest or kill Stephanie, where she will die in real life but Steve will be released and free to live in the real world as a serial killer."

I just played through this a few months ago, and while it is clearly retarded in so many ways, I think the puzzles are more 'logical' than a lot of its contemporaries. I didn't find myself getting completely stumped, eventually having to look something up, only to find the solution was so fucking backwards it made me want to stop playing.

I had this game when I was a kid. They used to have little warnings but Egghead Computers never enforced them. There was one part where if you ask the wrong questions, the guy in charge of guarding all of America's nuclear weapons shoots you in the head, falls on the detonator and ostensibly nukes the entire planet.

You forgot to mention that that guy is missing both his legs, and (hand)stands guard at the missile base with a rifle and the nuke button taped to the bottom of his stumped waist. If he shoots you, the recoil knocks him onto his stump and nukes everything.

Just now played this!

Nope, full of bullshit adventure game logic puzzles.

At least, most of the game was a pixel hunt. They really fucked up the ancient adventure game art of making usable objects stand out. 90% of the challenge in this game is finding things to pick up and use with the awful art and interface. Every time I got stuck and checked a FAQ, it turned out that I had missed an object in an area I swore I had thoroughly combed over. If you mouse over something at moderate speed, most of the time it won't even pop up as something you can examine. So the whole game becomes coming the cursor sloooooooowly across every screen to make sure you didn't miss anything.

One times I couldn't find an object even after a FAQ told me exactly which tiny part of the screen it was on. I spent 4 real time minutes going over the screen until I found it.

5 stars for Melanie.

Probably the best possible use of "Brand New Key".

I couldn't watch this past 0:35. Have to check to see if I can download and play this first.

Someone here perfectly described this game as Roger Corman's Twin Peaks.

I had somehow missed this video before. I laughed a little harder than was warranted.
