Needs a "Tomorrow's Pioneers" tag.

So, the little girl is the straw-man here?
The giant mascot is supposed to be the straight-man?
Something has undoubtedly been lost in translation...

Maybe, they could be aiming to turn it around, to have the mascot respond in the passionate manner they're aspiring to. I'm just disappointed that it wasn't entertaining, like those McDonalds commercials from the region.

The little girl, Saraa, is the focused, passionate voice of the resistance. She acts as the show's teacher-figure (perhaps because Palestinians must grow up fast, and all the adults are busy being dead already?) Nahoul and his other animal relatives (Farfour, Nassur, and whatever the fuck the rabbit's name was) are more like little kids. They're the "relatable" characters whom the children watching can project themselves into - they are young, passionate, sometimes a little confused, but eager to do the right thing and make Miss Saraa proud. The basic process is: the giant mascot says bonehead things, then Saraa calmly and patiently directs him back to the proper revolutionary party line. The mascot learns new lessons each week, until eventually he's killed by the Jews and replaced with the next eager martyr-in-training.

I am so pleased to see opportunities in media opening up for young Palestinian women.

Nahoul looks different. Is he new or was he resurrected? He died a few years ago as a martyr to the cause. He was then replaced by a rabbit who was blown up by the Jews. Then replaced by a bear. I don't know what happened to the bear, but the hosts of this show have terrible luck. Its like hosting Family Feud.

I'm pretty sure this clip is from an old episode. AFAIK, the show ended it's run not long after Nassur the Bear took over; the Jews did not get a chance to kill him, and he is now a sociology professor at Wesleyan University.

Nahoul's ignorance is overpowering. Thankfully that dead-eyed young girl set him straight!
