I hope the Russian spammers they sell our email addresses to in February have similar senses of humor.

'Morgan Griffith (rep) “[Climate Change] led to the Vikings dominating Europe for several hundred years.'

We've got a dumb ass over here.

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-12-06

Well I'm up for a little raping and pillaging, and with that moniker, do I even need to ask you?

Pillager - 2013-12-06

Nah, Odin said no more blood eagles until Heimdall gives the go ahead.

I'll sign, but note there is scientific dispute as to whether climate change will increase tropical storms. Fundamentally, tropical storms are driven by the heat gradient from tropics to the poles, and while the tropics are warming, polar regions are warming much faster, reducing the gradient.

Other extreme weather, like unprecedented droughts or rainfall, have a stronger basis in climate change modelling. Alas, these can't be named Inhofe.

RockBolt - 2013-12-06

Yeah the science is still out on the correlation of hurricanes to climate change, while heat drives storms, climate change should increase wind shear too, which stunts the formation of tropical storms. Although they are seeing some indicators that climate change may make rare storms like Sandy more common, with rapid sea ice loss playing an increasing factor in stalling the jet stream like it did. And one thing's for sure, the season is getting longer and longer, and as sea levels creep upwards, storm surge will be even more devastating (Sandy topped Manhattan's sea walls and made it to the subway, Irene fell short by only inches). There is a frightening amount of factors that go into these weather patterns, and we are definitely fucking with all of them in one way or another.

I love how they worked in Michelle Bachmann's crazy eyes.

SolRo - 2013-12-06

If they changed the naming of category 4 and 5 hurricanes to Michelle Bachmann and Primary Election Michelle Bachman, people would voluntarily evacuate at a much higher rate.

Deal!
