So, a hoopak with an extra attachment.

Still, I think I'd like this guy in my campaign.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-11-10

No you wouldn't, because he'd tell you how your dungeons don't make sense, your castles are impractical, the history of your setting is bullshit, etc., etc.

EvilHomer - 2013-11-10

Correction: you'd want this guy to be your DM. Seriously, watch his "Points About Weapons in a Fantasy World" or whatever it's called, he describes a giant turtle hunting adventure that actually sounds kinda fun. It's snarky, and it's a bit cruel, but I think he'd be a neat DM.

Scattersane - 2013-11-10

Dude plays WFRP. I'm sure I can deflect argument with my adventures if I throw a few green soccer hooligans his way and base every economy on radioactive congealed magic that fell from the sky.

SolRo - 2013-11-10

OZ, we all care about you and want what's best for you. That's why it's time for you to look at yourself and understand that, you have a problem.

ashtar. - 2013-11-10

I just realized that his collar is popped under that sweater. Like some kind of Cambridge fratboy.

bias - 2013-11-10

i've been trying to figure out if he's popping his collar or if he's wearing some sort of weird, possibly historic shirt.

EvilHomer - 2013-11-10

He might actually BE a Cambridge fratboy. He seems to be an archaeologist by day. I can't find much about his professional life, either on his YT channel or over at his official website, but buried under the weapon reviews/ historical re-enactments/ fire-juggling/ D&D/ tax rants are some tantalizing glimpses into how he actually supports himself, which I suspect involves equal parts academics and ye ole armor smithing.

EvilHomer - 2013-11-10

Oh, found something. He's a research associate at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, so, yeah, Cambridge fratboy basically.

poorwill - 2013-11-10

I get this guy. I made a really sweet giant yo-yo weapon with two three-bladed boomerangs in biplane formation that worked exactly as well as you might hope it to in your wildest dreams.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-11-10

Imagine what would happen if someone sent him a crapload of anime with medieval fantasy weaponry throughout. He'd post hundreds of videos about why half of them wouldn't work and how the other half could be improved.

memedumpster - 2013-11-10

A batleth might actually give this person a stroke.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-11-11

He does seem to be completely ignorant of the famous media trope, "The Rule of Cool."

Would a sword tend to get caught on helmet decorations like horns? Yes. Does that mean a movie with horned-helms on a bunch of dudes taking on a wizard army isn't fun to watch? Only if you're like this guy, apparently.
