"We've got to find this guy!"

"Well that might not be that easy."

"Why not?"

"I can't leave while sporting this massive erection!"

ugh, kink-shame much? these cis-kink privilged patriarchal normative douchecanoe shitlords should think first before they make fun of the true fans who are the only reason their show is still on the air!!!

- this has been a dramatic presentation by the Tumblr Players.

More than 5 minutes on Tumblr makes me want to join the Tea Party just for spite.

One of the bigger reasons I'm kinda done with nerds, is the fact that this aspect has expanded beyond reasonable proportions. I was okay with the fans who "shipped" all male anime characters, despite the lack of any logical basis for that notion, and told their little stories to each other. Have fun, whatever. I'm not really okay with those fans being ubiquitous, to the point of their conversation about a thing, dominates conversation about that thing. Having to fish for people actually reacting to Levi in SNK, over just talking about what Levi "ship" is real is not fun. It's annoying. Glad to see a show throw it in their face, though I'm pretty sure I've seen a gifset of these guys egging it on at some point.

In addition: I blame Adventure Time for nurturing this crap. "Let's pander to the fringe fanbase of our show and throw things in like rule 63 characters!" Cause those people aren't socially maladjusted at all, and exposing people their non behavioral issues, won't progress any mental disordering at all. Rant oooova.

Sudan no1 - 2013-10-25

The "Rule 63" in Adventure Time is actually awesome and a good thing for kids (who are the prime audience, as you point out). Some girls might identify more with the protagonist, so it's great there's a canon "girl version" of him out there.

I would watch them make out, seeing as I've never bothered to watch this stupid show and I'd rather watch porn.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-10-25

And if you think this breaks the fourth wall, you should see the episode entitled "The French Mistake" where Sam & Dean cross over into OUR universe as the actors who play them in search of weapons to take over heaven. They're chased by an angellic hitman, and in the ensuing shenanigans, they manage to kill off several of the other actors and crew along with "Eric Kripke," the show's creator. Before he dies, the faux-Kripke mentions one actor's death as being tragic, but it got them on the front page of Variety.

I remember that one. Kinda. Misha was a twitter addict.

Needs a "Wincest" tag, if you can fit it in.

The Supernatural fanbase is so rabidly into Wincest that attempts to introduce female characters to the show are typically met with such overwhelming hatred that the characters are eventually killed-off. This has already happened to at least three characters. Even female antagonists get this treatment, as long as there's any chance of a heterosexual relationship. The only female protagonist to survive (thus far) is openly gay.

Quad9Damage - 2013-10-26

Done. I'd considered using 'wincest' as a tag but wasn't sure if that was part of the casual Internet lexicon or just a chantard word.

Quad9Damage - 2013-10-26

And if the show's producers really are pandering to this horrible faction of their fanbase, that's...awful. I just watched (SPOILERS)

the episode where the mother/daughter Hunter team blow themselves up to take out the Hellhounds. If they were actually written off to appease the shitheel wincest crowd, that's just an extra layer of sad on top of a scene that's already depressing.

CJH - 2013-10-25

at least the show is just referencing it, so far. Xena eventually got so desperate for viewers that they said 'fuck it, they're both gay and they're together now, happy?' Maybe someday in the future kids will say 'fucked the brother' instead of 'jumped the shark'
