The big deal is that for the cost of a starter home, you can legally own a congressman. The old word for this was bribery. I suppose it is a good thing, inasmuch as they would be bribed anyway and with the leadership pac there is some transparency in the bribery. But the shocking thing is how cheap it is.

There's transparency? Every time I hear about a PAC basically bribe-funding a candidate, it takes a lot of digging to find out who paid into it, and even then, there's usually layer upon layer of deniability.
