Short lived? Did it catch some common disease that other shows were immunized against?

Like McCarthy herself?

Sitcoms like this lob jokes slower and gentler than a little league pitcher

After Seinfeld, I really don't understand why anyone was willing to go back to these types of sitcoms.

BHWW - 2013-08-26

During the 90s, the networks were doling out sitcom vehicles based around specific "stars" like they were complementary boxes of animal crackers; you were almost garuanteed to get one if you were a stand-up comedian no matter how not that well known you were, and various "personalities" were given their shot at starring roles and/or ill-advised vanity projects.

Jenny had at least two - she also had a sketch comedy show which I can't find anywhere. It was awful.

Margaret Cho even had one.

Yes, it was as bad as you think.

This is what happens when you mistake a stroke-mag chick for Lucille Ball.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-26

Made it to the Star Trek joke.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2013-08-26

Made it to "was my mother drunk?"

Yes Jenny, that would explain a lot.

It turns out the brow-furrow/mouth-gape combo can be used to convey most human emotions.

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-08-27

Jenny McCarthy's face is impossible to take seriously or tolerate.

biclops - 2013-08-27

Well, at least Karen Kilgariff got a bit of money out of this.

Her comedic genius is rivaled only by her grasp of biochemistry.
