Didn't watch the video. Never will. This is PoeTV's Ring Video. Watch it, and within seven days you'll never need to come back here.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-22

Didn't watch.

Riskbreaker - 2013-08-22

Didn't watch, five stars.

Grandmaster Funk - 2013-08-22

Hey, remember Fandom Secrets? So do I, and that's why I never have to watch anything with the word "Fandom" in it ever again! Five more stars from me.

Also, I guess, good on the "Famdom" community for considering how to be more accomodating to people with Asperger's (assuming that's what this is about). It's a little like McDonald's considering how to be more accommodating to gluttons with no discriminating taste in food, but hey, credit where it's due.

ToucheTurtle - 2013-08-22

Blimey, I skipped to the end to see how many were left and it looks like nearly all of them sat through the whole thing. I guess I'll never know what was so riveting.

And early in we have a Homestuck cosplayer, a species that should be endangered. I include Homestuck fans in general that wish, too.

FABIO - 2013-08-22

Fun/sad fact: the #1 contributor to the Homestuck kickstarter was Howard "bowtie" Phillips of Nintendo fame.

Cameraman starts to fall asleep only to be roused by the mention of pornography at 27:00.

It's like they attached a Go Pro to an infant's lolling head.

StanleyPain - 2013-08-22

Oh look, it's every fucking teenager that hangs out endlessly at the cafe in my job.

sasazuka - 2013-08-22

Glad it got through. This one is a real "slow burn" one. What's lulzworthy isn't anything specific that was said, I'm a sperg too and I'm sure that I'd sound just as awkward giving a panel with a chronological account of popular culture I was into. What's lulzworthy is that this was an actual panel at the east coast's biggest anime convention, as though they don't do much screening to see whether a speaker has an actual, interesting point to make rather than just blather on for half-an-hour about their life story without much of any focus on the subject that is supposed to have been addressed.

EvilHomer - 2013-08-22

I thought he was going to get the fucking point when he brought up Calvin & Hobbes - I'm sure there's a lot of really interesting things that could be said about C&H on an anime convention panel - but no, the bastard just blathered on to the next thing. I was about twenty minutes in when I realized there was NEVER going to be a point, and this was all it was. Five for that, if nothing else.

A few things that bothered me:

1. Pokemon, Sailor Moon, and Ronin Wariors? The "three" important animes of the 90s? Uh, I'm sorry, but one those things doesn't belong.

Fucking Pokemon. The correct list is Sailor Moon, Ronin Warriors, DBZ. Everyone knows that.

2. So what if Sailor Moon was only 14? I was like eleven when I was watching that show, she was practically a cougar as far as I was concerned, so check your privilege and stop judging me, Mr Aspergers. And he'd better not have been thinking any impure thoughts about Usagi, cuz she was MY waifu. Hands off, you creepy otaku weirdo.

3. Comparing himself to Rain Man.

4. The whole "woe is me" story about his special-ed school not letting him play the video games HE wanted to play. Life can be so cruel!

baleen - 2013-08-22

This is amazing. Writers can't write comedy this real.

Nikon - 2013-08-22

Think I'll skip this one.

Paracelsus - 2013-08-22

Not watching this horseshit, five stars.
