The important thing for skeptics to keep in mind about Paul Hellyer is that, while he was indeed Minister of National Defense, it was under Lester B. Pearson (Prime Minister from 1963-68), while he didn't really start talking about aliens until 2005, nearly 4 decades after the end of his tenure as Defense Minister. Perhaps he has some awareness of things not known to the general public from his time on the Privy Council, but what he actually cites as proof is the same dubious sources as every other extra-terrestrial book, newsletter, and blog.
