Nominal - 2013-07-21 I understand that there has to be SOME people on the deck, but a giant clumped group of them at the end of the runway? Do they really need 40+ people standing around for a dangerous test landing? Don't they have shelters or something for them to wait in until after an aircraft has safely landed?

I think Petman is still worse as an NPC (Non-Perishable Combatant) since eventually it will also be able to fly anything that can't fly itself, itself.
This is just a more expensive drone to kill Muslims and rednecks with. Or, I suppose, someone who built this could have delusions of invading China with them or something, which wont happen without nuclear holocaust.

I'm assuming thats a very conservative estimate.
The benefit of this robot plane above a conventional plane is that its cheaper and more expendable. It makes bombing the shit out of civilians in wherever an *even more* palatable prospect for US gov.
