PS believe it or not rockstar executives saw the kickstarter AFTER it had failed and have since been in contact with me. nothing solid so far but they said "after the team is done finalizing gta V we can spare a few heads to see what you made".

I could still be cut out of any kind of monetary loop, I dont own anything, but it would make sense to keep me around since I know the engine inside and out and I'm probably the best person to lead a team of coders to make the last few engine changes (really doesnt have that far to go, just need to switch out the 8 bit indexed mode for sprites for a system that uses 16, 24 or 32 bit PNGs or TGAs or whatever.

Anyways trying not to hold my breath, would be very easy to have everything taken from me and not have any recourse, but at least i'm talking to someone from goddamned take 2 finally. (they own rockstar)

That's fucking awesome. I played the hell out of the first one and loved it. Got my ass handed to me in multi though :( Never was good with RTS games.

Myth is (currently) famous for having some of the least noob-friendly and vitriolic players ever. Basically the ranked and unranked sections became comingled and the only people who can stand the current atmosphere of regular players are regular players. Noobs get easily turned off by it, and on more than one occasion I've seen forum posts of people who said "man I remembered this game and came back to it but everyone's attitude has changed and they're all assholes" in so many words. I hardly go online anymore - my hope for the future of Myth is an HD reboot that will get a whole new crop of players.

I don't know if people have the patience for learning Myth, it's like fast paced chess where your units explode into bloody chunks and giants kick your dwarves so hard the explosive satchels in their backpack explode and take out the archers standing next to them and then you go WHAT THE FUCK THAT WAS AWESOME BUT I'M DEAD NOW!

And then the Watcher uses his Vortex Purge to direct the cloud of swirling, spinning body parts swords and armor pieces that encircle him at your remaining troops and they get shredded and battered by the awesome physics of an RTS game way fucking ahead of its time.
