Also, Mike Nelson has given occasional interviews over the years discussing the MST relationship with these folks and pretty much everything he has ever said about it is creepy as fuck. Basically they assumed the MST3k wouldn't make jokes at their expense (despite being "BIG" fans) and despite all their bluster about thick skin, a lot of the cast and crew took some of the most innocuous, bullshit jokes out of that episode so seriously that to this day they get all defensive about it.
