I don't care to be honest with you-- and I think his conservative views are mostly elaborate trolling, but if he was a right wing nut-- so what? his podcast is the funniest thing on iTunes... And it might be some of his best work.
Yeah. This changes a lot for me. In my old age I've come to view conservatives as almost a separate race of people, with culture and values vastly different from my own. Norm might as well be an alien to me if he's part of that mindset.
The only way I can make sense of modern American conservatives is if I assume they've let their primate instincts take over. Support the tribe (white Christian America), shun outsiders (foreigners and minorities and Muslims), despise lower-status tribe members (minorities, LGBTs, and the poor), trust and submit to the strongest tribe members (Republican politicians, the rich).
In 20 million years, dogs will have evolved to the point of language and society, and even so they'll still be rolling around in squirrel poop. And it will be the same thing as voting Republican.
I've known this for years, but it never changed anything for me. I fucking love norm.
And he definitely isn't in the modern conservative camp of this hyper-intolerant theocratic crazytown that is so popular. So chillax broskis.
C'mon he's not in-your-face-annoying about his politics. He leans right and barely plays those cards.
Compare him to David Cross. Cross is funny every once in a while and then spends the rest of his waking days with a hate boner for Christians and conservatives and showing everyone his hate boner.
