I've always found putting on Kaiju movies in the background when I'm doing something vaguely productive keeps me from getting distracted. They make good background noise, for some reason, like a fan or something.

I think it's because the plot is either too hard or too easy to follow, everything moves at a glacial pace, and you get a good variety of charming locations. Whenever you get the need to go do something distracting, you watch the movie for five minutes, then get moderately entertained and bored at the same time, putting you back to work.

You mean I'm not the only one? I am not selective, more of a B-movie enthusiast, and youtube is bursting with them these days. And yeah, it provides enough distraction when you need it, and it's easy to tune out when you don't. But the sad thing is, I sometimes find myself riffing, even when I'm all by myself.

Also: it sucks that the version they used on MST3K is nowhere to be found on the internet. That one has the Gamera song, and the dub is hiy-lay-rious.
