the screen captured material looks heavily compressed. the footage of the app running on the ipad is 30fps

With all the computer geek art school students out there eager to make their own Flowers and Journeys and black and white expressionist platform games, why'd Bjork have to hire the one who failed out of community college?

Bjork is an auto-five, ugly ass game or not.

Hooker - 2013-01-30

So, Bjork presumably wanted some new way for people to experience music and how it's made. Filter that through people that want her money, to further their careers, and every other cynical thing that crushes people's dreams, and you wind up with an exceptionally lazy version of Amplitude.

Capitalism!

misterbuns - 2013-01-30

Yes, because when someone wants to make money they decide to invest in oblique interactive experiences inspired by experimental music. Then they just wait for the money to roll in. What ever happened to art for art's sake? Everyone's out to make a buck.

EvilHomer - 2013-01-30

Poor Bjork. So burdened by these things that make her money.

Hooker - 2013-01-30

I meant to imply that someone wanted to make money by taking Bjork's in exchange for something half-assed.

EvilHomer - 2013-01-30

Bjork gave this project her stamp of approval, and she's probably making just as much off of licensing fees as her capitalist hatchetman is from his cut of the app sales. She's just as complicit in this as anyone else is.

But maybe you could pirate it? That way, nobody involved will get any money, and Bjork's artistic integrity will remain intact.

Personally I hope this proves that when you have Bjork release something in any sort of unfamiliar or atypical media, so it becomes a common event and you start seeing random Bjork products like a comic book, snack foods, motor oil, antivirus software, etc. And they're all pretty good but still kinda weird, to the point of being creepy.

Love the Bjork, but was not all that impressed by this app. I think these same guys are doing an app for Phillip Glass.

The excitement of waiting for a turquoise crystal,
