I bet that Olsen Twins joke was HIIILLLLLAAARRRIIOOOUUSSSSS! back in '97.

Nikon - 2012-10-08

0:30 in and I'm already tapping out.

Old_Zircon - 2012-10-08

I made it 1:30

Cena_mark - 2012-10-08

I watched this entire episode the day it first aired. I see an ABC Family watermark. I can't believe they actually replayed this.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-10-08

I made it to around 2:30 before I wanted to spit on this show in disgust.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-08

Oh God, please don't tell me it's TGIF Week. I don't know if I can make it.

Hailey2006 - 2012-10-08

When this show aired, the line-up was Boy Meets World, Sabrina, this, and You Wish that was another turd about a genie or something. The success of Sabrina, made execs think they had a goldmine with shows about hip supernatural beings and opposed to realistic shows like Boys Meets World. Step-by-Step and Family Matters had moved to CBS who tried to start their own TGIF block, with those shows and Meego, which was about (I am not joking) Bronson Pinchot as an alien who crashed on Earth and lived with a family.

BHWW - 2012-10-08

Meego also starred the Jonathan Lipnicki, the kid still fresh from "Jerry Maguire" as Pinchot's main comedic foil. I actually saw it, saw it mind you. Part of it, involving a horrific close-up of Pinchot and Lipnicki's estatic faces as the alien took his youngest charge on a flight around the backyard using his strange powers. Oh, and it came from some of the same creative geniuses who gave us Family Matters, Step by Step and Full House.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-08

This sounds horrendous. (goes to look for it)

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-10-08

Wow, I made it about a minute. That was all the "jokes" I could take.

How 12 year old me sat through the entire premiere of this is beyond me.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-08

Well they were cute...that's only if you mute it of course.

BHWW - 2012-10-08

Really, at this time pretty much all of ABC's entire lineup was made up of shows with "high concept" premises so bad you'd think someone was making them up at first, like as part of a parody of schlocky network programming.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-10-08

Absolutely excruciating.

Bort - 2012-10-08

I have to say, "lead character dies of food poisoning in the first minute" is a peculiar way to start a sitcom. At least in "The Gary Coleman Show", they were pretty vague about what he died from.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-10-08

He didn't even swallow the damn thing before it started killing him.

garcet71283 - 2012-10-08

Gary Coleman died of an intercranial hemorrhage.

Also, anyone else think that making light of the death of children is not a good topic for a family sitcom?

Bort - 2012-10-08

"The Gary Coleman Show":

So no, "Teen Angel" isn't the first show where a dead guy uses his angel powers for the benefit of teenagers. Plus there's a sassy lady boss.

big pincers - 2012-10-08

yes, the reliable old "I've got corn chips under the bed" gambit...
(I made it two minutes)

snothouse - 2012-10-08

This is what Ron Glass was saddled with before Firefly.
