I've never seen this one before - I have seen the 1970's TV two parter with the same title and the same premise starring Ben Gazzarra and Lorne Green.

I was looking for that when I found this. Larry Buchanan is a legendary bad director, creator of Invasion of the Eye Creatures, Zontar, the thing from Venus, and Mars Needs Women. He looks a lot better in black and white.
