These two shows could, legitimately, have a crossover, and it wouldn't break the thematic of either.

misterbuns - 2012-08-29

One is a genre bending saga that has taken character based television further and it different directions than any other show in the history of the serial format, while also incorporating the styles of filmmakers like Kubrick, The Cohen Brothers and Fincher without alienating a broader audience. The other is a rote, contemporary cartoon written by writers who write everything else we see on TV. Yeah I totally agree.

misterbuns - 2012-08-29

PS i thought this was funny.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-08-29

Leon takes a second job that leads to all sorts of trouble; Larry has to negotiate a way out for his troublesome tenant.

Hooker - 2012-08-29

Aww, I thought misterbuns was making a comment about how both of those could describe either show, but he was just being angry and boring. :(

misterbuns - 2012-08-29

Yeah wow. Sorry. When I eat indian food I get extra douchey.

Gmork - 2012-08-29

I cried.

This was the scene where I finally lost my empathy for Walt. I will not root for him succeeding anymore. Unless he is losing his mind, in that case I guess I'll still root for him. Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Bryan Cranston on Conan O'Brien; he's got some insights into Walt's character:

(Hey Cap'n Profan!ty ... ? If you're out there, you probably need to watch the clip.)

In its way, "Breaking Bad" is an exploration of how vital we are to each others' survival. Every now and again Walt is truly acting in self-defense, but more often than not he's betraying such trust as has been extended to him, which is why it's all falling apart, for him and everyone else.

Callamon - 2012-08-29

You know he killed mike because mike wouldn't thank him right? Had nothing to do with the names.

Hooker - 2012-08-29

You were supposed to stop rooting for him much, much earlier.

TheSupafly - 2012-08-29

Frolic effect tag?

Bort - 2012-08-29

Added, and also a "context" tag, because without context this video is completely dull and unremarkable.

spikestoyiu - 2012-08-29

Mike ruled.

misterbuns - 2012-08-29

Yeah. He was my favorite character after Gus.

jangbones - 2012-08-29

Salon's teevee blogger pointed out that BB is still described in listings as a "comedy-drama".

kennydra - 2012-08-30

There are still some funny moments

Aubrey McFate - 2012-08-29

Fucking spoilers.

Also, yes. Good.

Bort - 2012-08-29

Spoilers noted in the description, though I contend that, if you haven't seen the episode, this is just two bald guys out on a fishing trip or something.

Aubrey McFate - 2012-08-30

A fishing trip where one man is obviously injured and falls over. COME ON!
