That really is quite pale.

The URL is http://www.youtube.com/v/p://www.you - this seems to be a recurring bug.

I can't post a resubmit like I did with the Jesus Facebook game video, because Racketeer came up with the title, making it unsearchable.

FatFatuousNation - 2012-05-20

Um. The URL is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=rrjQ7XuFu1U . But yes, the video isn't loading properly for me, either. Clicking "Original" in the bottom right allowed me to find the proper link.

BiggerJ - 2012-05-21

Ah, I didn't bother checking the 'Original' link. The URL I listed is the one in the page source that the page is trying to load..

BiggerJ - 2012-05-21

Since the correct URL is technically on the site, it won't let me resubmit it. Only a site admin can fix it.

BiggerJ - 2012-05-21

Someone posted a resubmit, but it's suffering from the same bug. Maybe leaving out the http:// causes the problem, I dunno.

This isn't nearly as difficult as people want it to be. The URL should have been exactly this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrjQ7XuFu1U

The "http://" at the beginning isn't simply decorative; include it.

Use exactly one parameter for YouTube videos, the "v=" parameter.

I've found that in some cases (LJ and Wordpress, at least), editing a YouTube URL manually by cutting off stuff after an &, getting rid of embed referrals, etc. can sometimes cause problems for some reason.

Dunno if that's a problem with YT or with the sites involved, but there you go. It's often safest to paste the edited URL back into one's browser, get the page to load with it, then Ctrl-C the URL again from the successfully loaded page.

magic, voodoo, and a lil hope

poeTV doesn't block repeatedly submitted YouTube codes. It just blocks specific addresses. (I wish support would get rid of the "link already submitted" shit for things that didn't make it out of the hopper anyway), so you can sometimes jimmy a broken submission by using another link to the same video that poeTV will recognize. But those links are dwindling since poeTV doesn't seem to get updated to reflect changes at YouTube, DailyMotion, etc.

Surprised my resubmit made it through considering it also doesn't work.

Racketeer - 2012-05-21

I resubmitted the resubmit and I guess it works now? Resubmitception.
