Wonderful. I love Russell's cosmic teapot analogy, because it's so simple and classic compared to the Flying Spaghetti Monster and others.

Pretty impressive.

Oscar Wildcat - 2012-02-28

Fun clip, but this has nothing to do with Russell's teapot argument, which is about the burden of proof. This is about the worship of a symbol. Perhaps the reason for the misunderstanding is the lack of cultural context. Let's see...

Right now, find your wallet, and remove a bill. Take the bill, and over the stove, light the end with the burner. It is just a symbol, after all, and you should have no feelings while doing this experiment. Let it burn until the bill is gone. Go on, do it now, and post what happens.

This makes a perfectly cogent point about atheism, which is the conclusion of Russell's teapot.

Now I want to see someone produce a video examining St Anselm's proof of God.

"Perhaps if they'd hanged Jesus Christ we'd all be kneeling in front of a fucking gibbet!"

chumbucket - 2012-02-28

This song is so much better now.

TheOtherCapnS - 2012-03-04

Teapot huh? Written like someone who has never made tea, or owned a house plant for that matter.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2012-03-29

Written like someone who doesn't have a fucking clue who Bertrand Russell is. READ A BOOK!

TheOtherCapnS - 2012-04-11

What does this have to do with the burden of proof again?

Twitch - 2012-03-05

‎"I ought to call myself an agnostic; but, for all practical purposes, I am an atheist. I do not think the existence of the Christian God any more probable than the existence of the Gods of Olympus or Valhalla. To take another illustration: nobody can prove that there is not between the Earth and Mars a china teapot revolving in an elliptical orbit, but nobody thinks this sufficiently likely to be taken into account in practice. I think the Christian God just as unlikely." - Bertrand Russell
