This looks pretty cool - especially after reading the wiki page on the book.

Hooker - 2011-09-30
This is easily the most obscure book I own (and probably one of the worst). How on Earth does it get an adaptation?
|
flotsam - 2011-09-30 It's pretty popular on Amazon.
|
riedquat - 2011-09-30 Unsurprisingly, Don Coscarelli's a big nerd who reads episodic horror fiction on the internet.
|
chairsforcheap - 2011-09-30 it definitely reads a bit more like a screenplay than a novel but i dunno, with good acting and directing, the likes of which they seem to have corralled, this will be super entertaining

The sequel is titled "This Book Is Full Of Spiders".

This is written by David Wong of Pointlesswasteoftime.com. The text of the novel originally appeared as an article on that site, which was part of the POE network back when Poe-red was an online humour portal.
Soooo... in a roundabout way, this is the first POE movie. At the very least, the site you're looking at right now and this movie have a proud shared history.

|
Hooker - 2011-09-30 I originally found poeTV because Top That on here was linked to on a PWoT article.
|
kwash - 2011-09-30 Same, actually. And I found PWOT from a JDATE ad, when the whole book was still on the internet for free.
Look at it now, Bubba Ho-Tep guy directing, Paul Giamatti involved. I feel proud and I don't know why.

Baleen leaves an cynical comment.
|
cognitivedissonance - 2011-10-01 Sexualcabinetry/Cognitivedissonance lurks in the shadows for nearly a decade until videos appear.

memedumpster - 2011-09-30
Wow, they made JDATE into a movie! JDATE is like House of Leaves, but far less pretentious and retarded.
I'm actually surprised Cheese didn't submit this, because I always assumed Cheese was John Cheese (sorry, Cheese).
|
Hooker - 2011-09-30 I've also been working under that assumption.
|
Innocent Bystander - 2011-09-30
Well I'm intrigued, although I clearly don't know jack about this thing unlike everyone else.
|
CornOnTheCabre - 2011-09-30
it took me awhile to realize you guys were abbreviating John Dies at the End. I was momentarily convinced you all met through a Jewish dating website before poeTV
so uh 5 for that
|
|
chairsforcheap - 2011-10-01 i was totally willing to believe that PWOT had to succumb to shit like jdate but now i guess the timeline doesn't work out

Shout out to the guy who played "Abe" in Hellboy and the Fawn in Pan's labyrinth
Looks great by the way..

Esperma de Mutante - 2011-10-02 He means Doug Jones, the amazingly talented dude who keeps getting shoved into bodysuits so David Hyde Pierce can do his lines without actually acting.
