Here's the back story.

Somehow Japanese mobsters were able to get a hidden camera into the bathroom used by the members of Morning Musume at the group's representing agency's building. The video, reportedly, captures the girls in various states of undress and performing private sanitary rituals. The mobsters attempt to extort money from their agency, UFA, threstening to release the video and thus tarnishing Morning Musume's squeaky clean and cutesy image. UFA refuses to pay and this music video, featuring the girls feigned shock being caught in bathroom stalls and looking defiant, is made after the fact.

Or that's how the story goes.
wtf japan
I didn't know that the Yakuza were so strapped for cash that they need to extort a pop group. My understanding is that they are basically a shadow branch of the Japanese government that handles loan sharking, gambling, and prostitution. Seems a bit petty and ridiculous, considering how powerful they are.

Maru
They're not part of the government. Conservative politicians have used them to crack heads, mainly in the lead-up to ww2, that's all. They're probably the weakest of the internationally renowned mob outfits these days.

Riskbreaker
Exactly how is their image going to be ruined by seeing them taking a dump? Are their wotas (name for the obsessed fans) that insane that they think these girls never have to go to the restroom?
