Xenagama Warrior Princess - 2011-08-25

That noise is a million fanfic writers losing hope after viewing this.

jangbones - 2011-08-25

I hereby nominate this film for a Nobel Prize

I tend to take the rather blasphemous opposite tack, the rather stupidly optimistic belief that if more things were in copyright lock, more people would be bound to create new and original things.

Unfortunately, outside of my little fantasy world (and I freely admit it as such), plagiarism is still rampant. We have Star Wars: The XXX Parody, rather than Blowjobs In Space, the epic story involving totally original characters having hardcore anonymous sex whilst fighting gigantic robotic space dildos.

I suppose we have it NOW, do whatever you want with it, POETV. Make Blowjobs In Space happen.

MrBuddy - 2011-08-25

Odd that you should mention Star Wars, that plagerized over a dozen movies, novels and historical events. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_sources_and_analogues

SolRo - 2011-08-25

but you cannot copyright a historical event...or if im wrong, I call dibs in WW2, that bitch will make me rich.

You should make a first-person shooter set in WWII.

chumbucket - 2011-08-25

I don't think a series of lunchboxes came out based on WWII yet. You could have:
Assault On Normandy Lunch Box
Rise Of The Third Reich Lunch Box
Long March Lunch Box
Battle Of Dunkirk Lunch Box

of course all with similar themed thermos' inside.

jangbones - 2011-08-25

the Hiroshima lunchbox heats itself

sosage - 2011-08-25

You can make analogies, references and homages to copyrighted material all you want. There is a classy and creative way of doing these things. Yes, the original Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Arc are examples of this.

Copyright laws do a lot of shit, but one of them isn't contributing to an artist's inability to be fucking creative. By all means though, let's just blame anything other than ourselves for being lazy artists.

memedumpster - 2011-08-26

If I pre-order the game, do I get an in-game lunchbox as special content?

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-08-25

People should realize that once you make a good piece of art it is no longer truly yours but rather belongs to everyone. I'm glad the internet just makes this more apparent.

Five stars for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
