You don't get the nickname "Beat" by being a pussy.

Every time i see one of those super "dramatic" bank sequences in your average heist movie, with every single character screaming and what not, all i can think of is this sequence. This movie is full of great sequences, my favorite still being the chopstick to the eye.

that's a breath of fresh air. smooth pacing, sparse dialogue, no edgy soundtrack. good photography. i'd forgotten about Kitano's movies, i should really re-watch them.

I was just thinking of Kitano and how it's been some tim since I've seen one of his films and then the next day the movie podcast I listen to mentions him, then they do an essay on his theme of death in most his movies (not well done, but odd.) and then Poetv starts posting clips. I declare this to be Takeshi week.

Aelric - 2011-08-10 By the way, I mean their essay was not well done (too simplistic), not Takeshi.

I need to re-watch this. I got on VHS a while back and only watched it once and haven't had VCR in years.
Also, speaking no edgy soundtrack, Boiling Point doesn't even have a soundtrack at all.
