You need to play Kirby. I played the shit out of it on Gameboy. The NES version is about the same except a little harder.

The cross-cultural marketing of Kirby is an interesting historical finagle. Do a Google search on the Japanese cover art for the Kirby series, then do a Google search on the American cover art for the Kirby series. The consistent difference is in the eyes... American Kirby always has "badass" eyes. Japanese Kirby is just adorably vacuous.

Play Kirby's Dreamland 3 (SNES). Best game ever.

The gameboy extra mode is actually one of the hardest Kirby-related games out there.

Also, Kirby Super Star is probably the best Kirby game.
