Criminal acts perpetrated by journalists, or anyone else, are never fucking justified. Criminal acts are not justified by definition, there may be motive, but not justification.

Totally. Rosa Parks had NO justification for sitting in the front of the bus. She should have moved, as prescribed by law.

Because we serve the law, not vice versa.

ps you are literally a fascist

Ok, I got carried away with outrage. You're right. Sorry. My disgust for tabloids is by-passing my common sense.

memedumpster - 2011-07-11

Oh, Weasel McTabloid, you're a devil you. Welp, time to drown him for the public's amusement.

jimmicampkin - 2011-07-11

They can't even hide behind the beastly Pokemon 'Tabloid' anymore, because The Sunday Times has been implicated.

So much for 'kill the NoTW, kill the scandal.'

baleen - 2011-07-11

One of the least redeeming admissions of guilt I've ever heard. What a disgusting man.

Anaxagoras - 2011-07-12

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not sure the reporter meant it as an act of redemption. He seems to feel that there simply is no atonement for his actions.

SeaSerpent - 2011-07-11

Well, I mean, since they're all dead and there's no one left to apologize to I guess I'll just clear my conscience!
I bet he felt much better about himself after this.

Accidie - 2011-07-11

I actually felt like he was sorry. He's not the most emotional sort, but he was given every opportunity to clear himself of wrongdoing but he accepted responsibility, and he didn't sound proud of it.

CornOnTheCabre - 2011-07-11

While his acts were deplorable, I'm getting kind of sick of the "driving someone to suicide" narrative that's given more and more credence as anti-bullying and anti-tabloid movements gain traction, as if taking one's own life is some kind of admirable, rational response to public humiliation.

Suicide is an act of personal agency. Hold assholes and manipulators accountable for their specific words and/or actions, not for "killing" another human being in the most vain, shallow sense of the word.

in any case, 5 for evil
