"What the hell are YOU laughing at, WIMPLASH?"

Jeriko-1 - 2011-06-05

Did he just call him 'fuckface'?!

Binro the Heretic - 2011-06-05

"BUG-face"

Spike Jonez - 2011-06-05

Yeah, you try saying that without lips.

Binro the Heretic - 2011-06-05

Ah, the 1980s...When all cartoon villains had to be as incompetent and harmless as a bowl of cooked broccoli.

It was supposed to teach kids that being a villain was "bad" but in a bizarre twist, most kids saw the shows and thought, "Man, I could be a way better villain than these dumb-asses. I would totally kick He-man's ass!"

Are you a wizard?

threads - 2011-06-05

Yeah, well, when your main adversary's only real "power" is the ability to summon lightning that strips him to down to furry underwear you don't really have to set the "evil genius" bar very high.

Look at how well-drawn Skeletor's hand is at 0:07. The sad thing is they actually had talented people working on these cartoons.

Dr. Lobotomy - 2011-06-05

That was a re-color of Prince Adam's hand, which in turn was a re-color of Man-at-Arms' hand but that was a re-use of...

Anyway, their real talents were showcased by the "from in-between Teela/Evil-Lyn's legs" shots with a nice ass just filling most of the screen.

Sadly, it wasn't re-used as much on She-ra.

kingarthur - 2011-06-05

Now that I think back, there were a lot of those ass shots.

Mother Lumper - 2011-06-05

Pretty much all of detailed animation and anatomy in He-Man was rotoscoped. It looked great but they reused the same footage in a lot of the episodes. You seen one He-Man running towards the screen you've seen them all.

Binro the Heretic - 2011-06-05

And that was recycled from older Filmation shows like "Tarzan" and "Blackstar."

Hell, I think they used that same running shot in the old "Star Trek" cartoon.

cognitivedissonance - 2011-06-06

I can't believe it took me this long to realize The Monarch is a direct parody of Skeletor.

Drrrrrrrr.

Jeriko-1 - 2011-06-06

As is Dr. Evil

TeenerTot - 2011-06-06

Dr. Evil is a generic bad guy plopped into a blatant ripoff of Dr. Goldfoot.
