The song at the end is worth it.

Is it?

So, you and your son having a good time?

I spent the first part of this clip thinking, "Hey, this show has an American Indian bit character and the joke about him is that he's the frontman of an amateur band that plays music inappropriate to the venue? That's actually not an offensive stereotype!"

Then 1:20 rolls around and it turns out he's the former owner of a casino who has fallen on hard times. Yay.

The real joke about John Redcorn, at least in the early seasons, was that he had been having an affair with Dale's wife for years.

Dale, the huge conspiracy theorist, was too dense to realize it; despite the fact that Dales's son looked like a mini John Redcorn and everyone in town knew about it.

Yeah, its not offensive in the context of the show. He gets more or less talked into opening a casino by a swindler specifically because he's Indian. But the feds tell him he can't actually have gambling for money, so he has to turn it into gambling for stuffed animals and tickets and such things.

Also, John Redcorn repeatedly saves the day in a few episodes prior when Bobby Hill joins a Satanic coven led by David Cross.

Not to mention that in one episode, it is shown that he was a roadie for Winger before he went on a vision quest.

Not quite as good as the Wilburys, but a pretty decent collaboration project for Tom Petty's standards.

They're also nowhere as good as the Dale Gribble Bluegrass Experience.

The last season was about wrapping up the various ancillary plotlines explored in the previous eight seasons.

John Redcorn became a native American Raffi, Lucky started a honky tonk band, Dale Gribble was actually recognized as a good father and Khan was exposed as bipolar.

And then the actress who played Luanne died and cut off any likelihood of Fox resurrecting it for a drag-on season after they finished the plot arcs.
