Nichijou is a wacky comedy.

At the risk of being one of those guys, comedy anime that isn't about murderous cats or sex-obsessed hamsters is seriously shit. All the moreso when its creepbait like this.
I'd suggest a fight scene from Modoka or something if you want actually watchable modern anime.
