You have no idea how happy this makes me. Every single word spoken by these birther people and the media that enables them is like another needle being driven into my eyeball

baleen - 2011-04-28

Yeah ok, great. Can this place not be a growing receptacle for MSNBC shit? I don't need to watch liberal TV to be reminded that Fox News is stupid.

Cena_mark - 2011-04-28

This shit is just as bad as Fox and this dude is the same as O'reilly.

futurebot - 2011-04-28

centrist and fascist, taking a stand against videos that ridicule racism

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-05-04

Cena, you have got to be shitting me.

Watching this gave me flashbacks to the time a crazy assfuck bag lady in the bus transit station downtown started to poke people in the head with her dildo and a bus driver came out to talk sense into her and finally just fucking lost it.

Bort - 2011-04-28

O'Donnell is a big stinky liar -- no way did he expect Orly Taitz to behave sanely. But he gave her an opportunity to redeem herself at least a little, which is something.

bawbag - 2011-04-28

This is how the climate of political lunacy in the US needs to be handled more often.

phalsebob - 2011-04-28

I don't know. Some people seem to take pride in shame.

chumbucket - 2011-04-28

go home you're fired

Xenocide - 2011-04-28

So few people in the media have the balls to straight-up call someone a liar anymore, even when they know that's what they are. For doing that, O'Donnell gets a cookie. A delicious anger cookie.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-04-28

So what was the whole point of the birther argument again? To show that he isn't a citizen? But he'd have to prove that in order to BE president with investigation from people who have access to this information. Is it to prove the New World Order most of these people believe in? Then proving he's not a citizen won't change anything. To prove he's a Muslim? Because he hasn't blown up the White House yet and there haven't been any major terrorist attacks during his presidency.

This is just an outlet for creative writing majors who wouldn't have a job or hobby otherwise. Plain and simple.

augias - 2011-04-28

Wrong, the answer is nigger nigger nigger nigger nigger.

Bort - 2011-04-28

If Obama isn't a citizen then he can't be president, therefore you are a patriot if you manage to shoot him. That's the heart of it.

Xenocide - 2011-04-28

Actually, the Obama campaign was the outlet for directionless creative writing majors. So many terrible poems titled "Hope."

StanleyPain - 2011-04-28

The birther argument is to claim Obama can't be president because they don't like Obama, therefore Obama can't be president. See, people thought that just tossing the word "Muslim" around would ensure he wouldn't get elected, but it didn't really stick the way they thought it would, so they pulled this bullshit of trying to say he couldn't prove his place of birth.
I think for a lot of wingnuts it was also a way of "getting back" at LIEBERALS for all the shit GWB2 got put through when he couldn't back up his claim he was in the National Guard and, when pressured, eventually revealed he never even did that much.

CharlesSmith - 2011-04-28

Yeah I get the feeling a lot of the Obama stuff is people with a tenuous grasp of politics "getting back" at Liberals for Bush.

Oscar Wildcat - 2011-04-28

Agreed. The principal fuel for the birther movement is "revenge" for the Left's calling into question the legitimacy of the Bush (jr) presidency.

Also, Nigger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But mainly the former. It bothers me that several years into this presidency, he (BO) is still trying to talk his way out of fighting. I'm beginning to think that like many in the Left, he truly believes that we can work together as a country to solve our problems. Like so many abused wives chanting the slogan, "I Hope he can Change". Well, he's not gonna change, honey.

Bort - 2011-04-28

I'll agree that the "ACORN" business was revenge for questioning the 2000 and 2004 elections -- it gave Republicans an excuse to claim the election was rigged -- but the Birthers are about being able to paint Obama as Not One Of Us. "Us" means "real Americans" or "whites" or "you know, us" ... and of course that means it's patriotic to hate him, demonize him, and depose him.

I think Obama was right to downplay this and wait on addressing it, because there will always, always be something that these folks are trying to turn into a scandal. If they're focused on something that has already been disproven to every sane person's satisfaction, good, they're wasting their time and making themselves look bad. Eventually it became big enough of a distraction that Obama felt he had to take the next step, and so he put the matter to rest, to every sane person's satisfaction. And the fact that he waited so long and therefore this new document must be a forgery ... ? Yes, go right ahead, Birthers, and focus on that.

StanleyPain - 2011-04-28

Oh, by the way...incase anyone actually cares what direction Taitz was heading in this interview had she been allowed to continue: her new argument is resurrecting the 2007-2008 claim that Obama falsified his Selective Service agreement and thus committed Social Security fraud (which, even if it were true, would not invalidate the 2008 election anyway).
In fact, what happened is that Obama once casually mentioned signing up for selective service when he got out of high school, when in fact he didn't actually sign up until about a year later when doing so was required by law (it wasn't when he got out of high school). So he either lied or was mistaken, but somehow this is THE MOST EXPLOSIVE CONTROVERY SINCE WATERGATE AND EVEN BIGGER to the birther crowd, despite the fact this was dealt with YEARS ago.

fatatty - 2011-04-28

It actually started with Hillary Clinton. It was amazing how quickly the right started loving Hillary, when the alternative was a black man.

Aoi - 2011-04-28

Actually, no, it was started by Jack Ryan in the 2004 senate campaign, before he dropped out. It was started by right-wing assholes.

It WAS resurrected by a Clinton staffer in 2008, but that isn't where it started or where it lived the majority of its lifetime.

Meerkat - 2011-04-28

This crap was going on with Clinton too. He was a democrat, therefore NOT ONE OF US.

Some of the guys I played Quake with were all Clinton is Bringing About the One World Order bullshit just like they are with Obama.

Slick Willy. Man they just can't help using stupid 3rd grade names for shit and thinking that's a clever point.

spikestoyiu - 2011-04-29

They did the same thing to Kerry's military record by trying to discredit his purple heart.

themilkshark - 2011-04-28

Wow, TV news is ridiculous.

Rudy - 2011-04-28

Welcome to America! Crazy people are on the news constantly! Sometimes we give them their own shows! We do this because we secretly hate ourselves! Enjoy your stay!

Johnny Madhouse - 2011-04-28

She has weird eyelids, like a lizard. I know this doesn't reflect on her character any but it makes this whole exchange somehow more enriching.

standard8mm - 2011-04-28

reptilian?

Damenbinde - 2011-04-28

Doesn't reflect on her character? It proves she's a reptoid!

CharlesSmith - 2011-04-28

To me she's always looked like someone exploded several drag queens, and then assembled her out of the resulting parts.

Tripitaka - 2011-04-28

So, can Obama sue her for slander and/or libel? Because that would be splendid.

cognitivedissonance - 2011-04-28

That's exactly what she wants, so he won't.

Quad9Damage - 2011-04-28

I hate Orly Taitz and her dumb in the tits movement, but the guy shouting at her reminds me why I don't like cable news.

Stopheles - 2011-04-28

His signature on the Selective Service form is a DIMENSIONAL PORTAL!!!

memedumpster - 2011-04-28

Birther Pundit.

Report the news you fucking douchebag. No one who has any birther segment should be considered anything but a mouthpiece for the GOP shitbags.

Fuck MSNBFOX.

Valkor - 2011-04-28

Get out of here.
You belong in a garbage can.

positively - 2011-04-28

you've given us circus, now where is our bread

Riskbreaker - 2011-04-28

Roll 20 for massive...fuck, what the hell is she suppose to be?

TheOtherCapnS - 2011-05-03

Lawrence O'Donnell should have Michael Shannon on his show at all times, sitting next to him and staring menacingly at guests.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-05-04

Oh my God she looks like a real doll.

With plastic surgery.

A real doll made to look like it had massive plastic surgery gone wrong.
