He speaks of gays "looking for legitimacy" at one point; funny thing about that. I've read that, if black churches can be more heavily anti-gay than white churches, it's because the quest for acceptance has driven them to be uncompromising in their theology. So they look for legitimacy by denying legitimacy to others, and of course by adopting a distinctly un-Christian attitude. Irony or hypocrisy? I'm sniffing a bit of each.
