The original script called for this to be much longer.

I always expect Rex Harrison to be saying, "DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN!"

And this movie was terrible.

For some reason, I had a middle school history teacher who thought this was a good movie for the class to watch when we were talking about Egyptian history. He forgot about the near-topless dancer in this scene and flipped his shit trying to cover up the dancing ladies with a sheet of paper.
That's my memory of this awful movie.

This was pretty much the entire movie for 4(!) hours.

This movie basically singlehandedly bankrupted Fox until Star Wars, 15 years later.

Let's convince Murdoch it needs a remake.

There are a lot of better Elizabeth Taylor movies, and a lot of better sword and scandal epics. (The Claudette Colbert Cleopatra for one.)
