Totally made me grossed out. This is sort of fun when it's on your own face. When it's ALL OVER someone else's, then it's nasty.
My boyfriend got out of the shower one night and I noticed that he had a giant black head on his back. This thing was huge. It was probably about 4 mm in diameter. I asked him if I could pop it because it looked so sore. He let me, and that thing had so much built up sebum inside, it went on forever. We put some antibacterial stuff on the spot and a bandaid on it.
So this leaves me curious as to what part of this person's body this is.

This treatment seems better than what my father incurred in the early 1960s. The doctor would lacerate his acne with a blade of some sort. Interestingly, my father has no acne scars at all.

So if there are any medical poetv-ers out there-- is he doing more harm to his face, or is there a benefit to all this? Also-- do all of us have this much shit beneath the skin, or does he have a condition or something?

Tripitaka - 2011-03-16 Well I'm no medical expert, but I do get regular facials from a professional. First she steams my face for a good 45 minutes to make sure the pores are open. Next she wraps cotton around her fingers and manually squeezes the gunk out. If there are really deep blackheads she'll use a think wooden pick. The most important part is that after that she sterilizes the open pores so they don't immediately get infected or clogged again.
As for this guy, it looks like he's got very oily skin and probably doesn't clean it well day to day. There's a lot of everyday dirt and sweat but also the constant build up of pollution we're exposed to that gets deeper into the skin. You need a decent cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and daily sunscreen. Keep that up and you won't need a face-lift at 40.
