The robot music sounded so Future Crew.

BaconAficionado - 2011-02-01

Their choices of items don't exactly make me very excited about letting this stuff loose on the streets of iAd.

Photos don't have aliasing. Also glyph based AR is old news, these may be fancier graphics but they're not that interesting.

Real time camera matching with no glyphs is much more impressive:

How about stencil buffes? How's them?

Meerkat - 2011-02-02

They get culled along with the back facing polygons.

Natch.

The Mothership - 2011-02-01

If one really wanted to nitpick, it is not an Alien, but a Space Jockey.

TimidAres - 2011-02-01

Worth it for Space Jockey.

StanleyPain - 2011-02-01

All my stars for the space jockey, which is effectively a 3 dimensional Giger painting.

Ursa_minor - 2011-02-01

Like the 3 dimensional one they built for Alien. But in 3D!

StanleyPain - 2011-02-02

Which is what I meant....exactly! Great job!

Old_Zircon - 2011-02-01

Vortex.

kingofthenothing - 2011-02-01

the future is officially here.

Raggamuffin - 2011-02-02

Welcome to The Future! The shows are kind of lame, but the TVs are bolted to your head! Who knows what's real!

Chizmurder - 2011-02-02

It looks like it's also being lit by the real light source in the room. It could just be a planned trick, but if not, that's extra badass.

MrBuddy - 2011-02-02

I know this is cool and everything and I've downloaded and played with augmented reality software but... what are we supposed to do with it? You still end up looking at a computer screen in the end.

Wonko the Sane - 2011-02-02

for Barber's Adagio for Strings

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-02-03

It'll be 10 years before I get one either way. I'm like a... 6th generation adopter.

"Technology soon available on mobile devices," including the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita each of which came out years ago. Didn't the PSP also have a camera addon that did this stuff in Japan?
