phalsebob - 2011-01-16

Sing your favourite baseless assertion with a chicken suit on... man that's comedy gold!

Supahfly - 2011-01-16

Shit man, I've been had.

charmlessman - 2011-01-17

Al Gore has: Scientific studies, photographic evidence of vanishing glaciers, the weight of the scientific world behind him, a Nobel prize and a brilliant mind.

These guys have: a van, a chicken suit and auto-tune.

YOU LOSE, AL GORE!!!

dueserpenti - 2011-01-17

We're all going to die. Horribly.

Raggamuffin - 2011-01-17

As Nero fiddled while Rome burned, so shall I Auto-Tune as the world drowns.

Spoonybard - 2011-01-17

Rome burned in 64 AD, while the fiddle wasn't invented until the 10th century. Where is your precious "science" NOW?

cognitivedissonance - 2011-01-17

OH GOD, HIS KNOWLEDGE OF IRRELEVANT TRIVIA HAS RENDERED MY ARGUMENT INVALID!

CURSE YOU, DIALECTIC DIVERSION!

Riskbreaker - 2011-01-17

From yt:

"It is amazing to see how many people have fallen into the trap that big business is responsible for all the worlds problems. The Progressively controlled education system in the US has done its job!

Global Warming is a Ponzi scheme to benefit Al Gore!

He developed the internet to spread lies about it, became Vice-President to control government research scientists and agencies, invented the perfect sex-bot (both males and female versions) to bride the world's scientific community, and invented a time-machine to make the research demonstrating the evidence of global warming extent back decades, all so he could win an Oscar!

fluffy - 2011-01-17

What I don't get about the deniers is that they are the living embodiment of a real-world version of Pascal's Wager. What do they gain by allowing corporations to curbstomp all over the environment for monetary gain, even if they aren't causing global warming?

Bort - 2011-01-17

Global Warming can be taken as a personal affront:

- "So you're saying I'm not allowed to drive any more? That's bullshit!"

- "So you're saying I'm destroying the world? That's a damn lie!"

- Plus it challenges any comfort they might take in a world that is made just by capitalism, which rewards the hard-working and the virtuous, and wouldn't cause any unintentional (or intentional) harm in the process.

I'm not saying it's rational.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-01-17

Pretty much "MY FREEDOM, MY HERITAGE, THE WAY MY FATHER DID IT FUCK THAT HIPPIE BULLSHIT" because a lot of the people opposed to any environmental shit are typically raised to associate such things as "hippie" things and society is threatenec by those ideas because some hippie ideas could destroy capitalism and if it ain't capital, it's communist. I hate the "go green" bullshit because it does seem like just a trend to sell products but living meager lives and reducing pollution, recycling and reducing resource waste are great things but some people also think Jesus is coming back soon so just turn this planet into a slag heap in the name of money.

Lead singer has PBG (Possible Busey Genes)

Rovin - 2011-01-17

How absolutely hideous. Did they not watch this before thinking others should see it?

TeenerTot - 2011-01-17

My neighbor is a sort of right-wing bible-type guy. He doesn't believe in global warming, citing that "summer here was pretty mild last year."

He's generally a nice guy and good neighbor, so I did my best to not roll my eyes at him.

baleen - 2011-01-17

That's pretty much all you can do. It's when people who seem pretty laid back, rational, tattooed, and sexy suddenly tell you they believe anthropogenic climate change isn't happening. That's just weird.

fourthguy - 2011-01-17

Difference #1: it's not funny

Rudy - 2011-01-18

When I saw the title, I thought it would be a parody of "I'm A Survivor" by Destiny's Child. But, of course, that would mean even a smidgen of cultural awareness beyond whatever Rush talks about. So, The Monkeys it is!
