I doubt domestic turkeys can fly. They're bred and fed to be really heavy.

Bah. I was thinking wild turkeys. That makes more sense. I bet they'd still be able to arrest their fall with their wings though.

I'd be surprised if they couldn't, Smell. Even the domestic chicken has some atavistic ability to glide/fly. I've had one of the neighborhood chickens fly head first into my basement window. It was a glorious thing to watch; had youtube been around then we would be voting on that clip.

There's only one way to settle this. Somebody charter an aircraft, I'll start collecting turkeys.
