There's a whole EP of Carpenter covers out on Versatile, including a cover of Morricone's "The Thing" theme, as well as something called "Escape from LA." Wow! That sounds like a neat movie! Too bad John Carpenter retired after In the Mouth of Madness; I bet he could have made a really neat sequel to Escape from New York. Ah well, I hope he and George Lucas are happy in their retirement.
