Ridiculously blessed rich/cute girl t has luxury to condemn spending habits of normal people continually, thus satisfying anti-consumer trend among youth demographic and earning her still yet more fucking millions of euros.

From a Marxist perspective, I can't stand her. But her team of songwriters and pr people are to be commended for the work they've done here. Writing the bit about how she grew up listening to The Specials was a nice touch. Sampling Professor Longhair was even better.

What I'm saying is, I can admire the manufacturing that went into this particular throw away pop star.

Only people from disadvantaged backgrounds are entitled to voice their opinion on George W. Bush.

Um, artists (good & bad) have always arisen from privileged backgrounds. Lots of peeps with gifts never get exposure (to taste, to art education, to agents/managers to smooth their entry) - there was no music in my childhood house. There's no particular reason to single LA out, when nepotism is endemic in the culture industry.

yeah but mockney accent

Just noticed how weirdly incongruous my point was - that should have read, ". As someone who heard no music in my childhood home, I think simply exposing children to arts and music is more of a privilege than bare wealth."...

A lot of the best punk was made by rich kids.
I guess I just don't like Lily Allen that much.
