Would you say the apparent growth of the crazy population is an illusion caused by the internet? Or are there more crazy people around these days?

I would say the internet is like fertilizer for thought of all kinds, and crazy people are the weeds of the world of thought.

I guess you can use the existence of otherkin as proof that the internet reinforces crazy. In the old days, if you said you were really a dragon there probably wouldn't be anyone else who'd agree with you. Nowadays there are irc channels, forums, and so on dedicated to discussing how people are, deep down, actually mystical beings.

I like how some of the comments on his youtube videos are just him talking to himself.
