Why was this show ever taken off the air?

splatterbabble - 2010-04-25

All good things must come to an end. Just ask the cast of Firefly.

MrBuddy - 2010-04-25

I wonder if Cartoon Network could get it for their late night block.

When asked about the series-ending cliffhanger, in which it is revealed that Duckman's first wife has secretly been alive throughout the entire run of the series, writer Michael Markowitz said: "We never formally planned Part II... and I'll never tell what I personally had in mind. I'm hoping to leave it to my heirs, for the inevitable day when Duckman is revived by future generations. Ah, the Spandex suits they'll wear, the hovercrafts they'll fly!"

I'm sad, but kind of glad, myself.

You wouldn't want it becoming Simpsonized, would you?

Candlejackv616 - 2010-04-26

I fucking loved this show. this and Weird Science and World News entertained the hell out of me Saturday nights on USA, they were so trashy once upon a time.

Personally though I hope they never revive this show, almost all shows I loved never come back the same, they always comeback...wrong. Its like they got Pet Semetaried.

The cosmology of Duckman's world confuses me. Some people are people. Some people are animals. The people who are people wear pants. Some of the people who are animals wear pants.

Binro the Heretic - 2010-04-25

You forgot about the animals who are living toy stuffed animals who can be killed in one scene and then be just fine in the next scene.

And Goofy is a dog, but PLUTO is also a dog and Mickey OWNS him!

This is an example great thing made even better. It's a guilty pleasure, but "Life's Been Good" is a song that begs to be cranked.

eatenmyeyes - 2010-04-26

I misread that as "John Walsh" and didn't know what sort of song to expect. Maybe one with a lot of head puns?

kingarthur - 2010-04-26

Duckman

thebaronsdoctor - 2010-09-19

After watching a video of Joe Walsh performing this song live I noticed a strange tube attached to his microphone. I eventually decided this was some sort of feeding tube he had specially installed before the performance that he could stick into his mouth if he got hungry during the show. It would inject a slurry of pork and beans directly down Walsh's throat.
