Just awesome. Great animation and an interesting slice of history.

5 stars for the Disney banner with Mickey Mouse trying to give me a free vacation planning DVD combined with this piece of amazing.

5 stars for the bearded one being the same Disney employee in my son's Chronological Donald Duck DVDs, explaining between every film that everyone was racist back then.

ALEXANDER DE SEVERSKY!

I had no idea he had time to write books between selling P-35s to Chiang Kai-Shek and embezzling contract money to fund his air racing operation. It all turned out for the better though, given that he and Kartveli eventually turned out the Thunderbolt, Thunderjet, and Thunderchief, respectively the most underappreciated fighters of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.

Anyway it is just weird to hear his name, especially upon the lips of Leonard Maltin.

Incidentally, Seversky turned out to be wrong about many many things, but the B-29 did have the computer gunsight turrets that Big Cartoon Bomber was equipped with and was generally capable of defeating interceptors by itself.

Oh, and in the late thirties Seversky sold Japan a bunch of two-seat fighter-bombers. This was not his wisest decision, PR-wise.
