I have never heard one of these protesters EVER say ANYTHING along the lines of "Oh, really? That's a good point." or "Oh, really? I didn't know that." Nor do they phrase anything they have to say in the form of a question, unless they're trying to set a very obvious logical trap. There is no open-mindedness, no willingness to learn.

Nikon - 2010-03-28 But SOCIALISM and DEATH PANELS! Aren't you worried about OBAMACARE killing your grandma!?
|
baleen - 2010-03-28
I'm sure they would say that because you don't think Murray Rothbard was an important contributor to the discourse of American politics you don't listen, either.
Not like 90% of teabaggers know or care who he is.

I wish they would make Car Insurance Premiums equal for both genders. :S
My penis is supposed to get me in a bunch of wrecks but I don't think it's working.
|
TeenerTot - 2010-03-29 I don't get that either. I guess insurers assume us women only drive to the market at the corner (when our husbands lend us the car), and spend the rest of our time safe in the kitchen.

Jesus, what an argument.
I'M A WOMAN AND I HAVE A RIGHT TO PAY MORE MONEY FOR THE SAME HEALTH CARE BECAUSE..WELL...I'M ALL WOMANY AND STUFF OMG WHERE'S MY FREEDOM TO PAY MORE???
|
Dib - 2010-03-28 It is true that having a vagina makes her qualified to speak on behalf of all people with a vagina.
|
StanleyPain - 2010-03-28 I'm just really...amazed I guess at how many of these people are literally arguing against their own best interests. I mean, I heard there was some Rep. or Senator somewhere whose re-election campaign was literally featuring a promise to "fight to return pre-existing conditions" to health plans.

"So your making me make a choice that I don't want?"
Pedophiles don't like the law, but that doesn't mean it is bad for them.
|
Syd Midnight - 2010-03-29 I wonder how many protesters are under the impression that they can't still go to any doctor they want if they're willing to pay cash. He should have explained that, she was getting exactly what she wants.
Rush, Beck etc. will lie and say Obamacare forces you to go to a death doctor and people BELIEVE it. They think this is somehow different from health insurance.
There's a vid where Al Franken patiently explained an issue to teabaggers until it clicked in their heads, the problem was they simply didn't believe him, because either they're very wrong or he's the slickest liar ever, and nobody likes being wrong.

"But doesn't the system have a RIGHT to screw me?"
You know what, lady? I'm starting to think it does.

The more and more I look and listen to these people, the more I'm CONVINCED AS HELL that the Scientologists, Moonies and Christian Scientists have formed an unholy alliance.
But that's crazy talk.
OR IS IT?

Haha 2:50-3:01. That long pause followed by, "But blah blah blah" So cute, I would totally give her some "health care", all over her face.
