Too advanced to be viewed with conventional eyes, too.

I own a virtual boy. It gives you migraines in like 4 minutes.

As shitty as this system was, the wario game for this was actaully pretty good. TeleroBoxer was alright.

Even the helmet is 3D.
|
pastorofmuppets - 2010-03-10 Played it for five seconds at a department store and came away wondering how "32 bits" only got you a red-shaded gameboy.

It was impossible to play this thing without your eyes and neck hurting.

I remember going to a store... it was a big one, something like "Distant Galaxy" or something, it's no longer around... and they had a big demo space with a bunch of Virtual Boys set up for people to try out. While my parents went off looking at computers and things I tried out the Wario game. It was really cool. I probably played for 10-15 minutes standing at that demo machine. When my parents came by and we left I took three steps and then fell over because I was so disoriented from playing the game.
Any video game that can cause me to fall over is worth 5 stars.

Oh man, I wanted the HELL out of one of these, but my parents wouldn't buy it, and it was way too expensive for my pissant allowance. I finally ended up pestering people about it so much that they told me it had been recalled cause it made kids go BLIND.
AAAARGH! YOU FUCKING LIARS!! See if I spring for the FANCY casket when you drop dead!

My local target put these on clearance rather quickly. Got mine for with my brother. Teleroboxing, Mario Tennis, Bomberman Tetris Game That I Forgot The NaSme Of, Wario... but the best was Red Alarm. It was a Descent/Starfox mash up that was really fun as long as you didn't get stuck in the corners. Good times.
|
Candlejackv616 - 2010-03-10 Red Alarm was a pretty good game, unfortunately its wire frame graphics made it confusing as fuck at times. Otherwise that and now that you mention it bomberman was quite fun aswell.
I remember playing Red Alarm in particular though and thinking something along the lines of "wow, this is futuristic" in regards to the Virtual Boys "32 bit graphics"...I was a dumb kid.
