I know too many people that were obsessed with this show. I'm not even sure why.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-03-07

White guy with Japanese sword.

Rape Van Winkle - 2010-03-08

I like seeing openings to shows I liked in the early nineties, less than the shows I didn't.

Because I watched this.

Five stars.

Yellow Lantern - 2010-03-07

When I was in the sixth grade, this was the best show ever.

They just put all of it on Netflix Watch Instantly, and I checked out the pilot yesterday. The acting is even WORSE than I remember. However, the bad guy was played by Richard Moll, and it's hard to be disappointed by anything after that.

freedoom - 2010-03-07

random trivia: Roger Daltrey from the Who guest starred on this show frequently.

Camonk - 2010-03-07

Adrian Paul trying out so many accents.

Candlejackv616 - 2010-03-07

Don't forget mustaches.

kingarthur - 2010-03-07

Wait wait wait....don't tell me how this episode ends!

Because you know, they all ended the same damn way.

socialist_hentai - 2010-03-07

better than the cartoon version...

Candlejackv616 - 2010-03-07

*shudders* Didn't this have a tie in game?

This show, more than any other, inspired my friends to have intensely beardy debates about the mechanics of the show's universe, regarding such things as "well what if someone just loses a limb" or "what if a non-immortal chops off an immortal's head?"

I like that they answered the last one, at least, by having a mentally retarded immortal who everybody pitied too much to kill, so he committed suicide by resting his neck across a railroad track. Then the train cut his head off and absorbed the retard's soul.

Raggamuffin - 2010-03-07

There was also an episode with an immortal with a cut off arm (it stays off). Adrian Paul fought him one handed to make it fair.

phalsebob - 2010-03-07

I demand a spin off about an immortal retarded train.

Aoi - 2010-03-08

That dude with the hook hand was pretty cool. But he posed more questions than he answered. Why weren't more immortals missing limbs? In all the centuries of life, the odds of losing a limb at some point would rise rather dramatically, as the odds of any violent outcome to fighting with swords would rise. Numerous immortals were caught in the middle of explosions over the years, yet none of them lost a limb in the process? Car accidents? Industrial accidents?

I find this all very suspicious. Veeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrry suspicious indeed. I think that one guy was some kind of defective immortal, and all the others felt kind of bad about their having regrown dozens of limbs each, so they just played along and pretended he was 'normal'.

Rape Van Winkle - 2010-03-08

Did they say when he lost the limb? It was pretty well established that the remnants of wounds from before they became immortal (the first time they died) were permanent - but if wounded after they became immortal, they heal almost instantly and no scar is left.

So I still wonder, if he lost his arm after he became immortal, if it would have healed if he held it in the right spot. I don't get the feeling it would have grown back, if the original was destroyed or misplaced.

Fuck you guys for making me want to be in this debate.

kingofthenothing - 2010-03-26

Yes, he was immortal when he lost the limb, because Duncan cut it off.

Rape Van Winkle - 2010-06-28

Did Duncan steal it right after?

DriverStabby - 2013-02-08

ANSWER HIS FUCKING QUESTION!

DriverStabby - 2013-02-08

Anyway, it was absorbed by Richie, who was standing nearby.

DriverStabby - 2013-02-25

(The retard's quickening, I mean.)

Xenocide - 2010-03-07

Now is the time of the Gathering, when the stroke of a sword will release the power of the Quickening. This will activate the Hastening, which is the linchpin event for the Trampling. We will then be met with the Stumbling, which, as is written, will set off the Tinkeling. Then, nothing can save us from the Labeling, which will initiate the start of the Unfastening.

This long-prophesized chain of events will be collectively known as The Embarrassing.

apiaryist - 2010-03-07

I was waaay too into this show.

Unnecessary jet noise for no reason in a title sequence.

twinkieafternoon - 2010-03-08

That was the part when I lost it.

DriverStabby - 2013-02-08

That was clearly the sound of the title.
