This sums up just about everything I hated about this show as a kid. People playing video games poorly and infuriatingly not understanding the rules of whatever the hell they were playing.

Watch for the part with the time bomb. There was never a reason to fucking backtrack on Nick Arcade, yet people did it all the time despite the obvious penalty!

Candlejackv616 - 2009-12-29

I feel your pain, I watched this show religiously regardless of all the bullshit just cause it was a show that in retrospect was only tentatively about vid games. How I bow my head in shame at the stupidity of youth, soaking up anything game related regardless of quality(Captain N comes to mind). Within the same token while I watched this crap alot, it almost always devolved into cursing(when grandma wasnt around) and hatred for those kids and the almost always constant ineptitude of their gameplay skills.
At some points its like why the fuck bother? Case in point girl playing addams family for the SNES made me feel like an angry ten year old again wanting to toss my controller at the screen...I mean WTF why did she stop all of a sudden to throw Gomez's balls!?...Yeah you heard me...:\

5 Stars for the video in my head of the nerd outrage that must have exploded while making this compilation.

chumbucket - 2009-12-29

Well, what they didn't tell them was that they had to play all games on a remote mainframe via a 24k baud modem connection using a phone line shared with a household that contained at least 3 teenage girls who spent about 50% of their free time on phone "party lines". This typically introduced about a 300-400ms control latency.

FABIO - 2012-09-20

That Adams Family part was like watching Arino play Super Mario World.

zatojones - 2009-12-29

I'm glad I'm too old to have this stuff as my childhood memories

Candlejackv616 - 2009-12-29

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-12-29

WHY ARE YOU STILL DUCKING

boggy84 - 2009-12-30

Fifteen years after the airing of her episode of Nick Arcade, Nadine, as a young adult, would be finally moving out of her mother's house, and in the process of packing her things went looking through packed-away mementos of her youth. It had been a hard decade and a half, and so much had happened, but she finally had gained some footing in her life. She was going to school now, going for a degree in business administration, and she even finally had a place of her own. Rummaging through the fragments of her past, she happened to come across a shrink-wrapped box for a brand new Rap Keyboard. And though she had fought long and hard and spent thousands of dollars on hard liquor, drugs, and finally therapy, and pills just to forget, that dark place of shame that was always hidden just under the surface was known once again.

winter_mute - 2010-01-04

Why is the green hill zone on sonic the hedgehog playing star light zone music? that aint right.

Spit Spingola - 2010-11-24

They must have either they picked kids who were slow on purpose or it was really hard to see and hear what was going on. I haven't watched Double Dare in 20 years but I don't remember those kids being this bad.
