I must own this movie.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-11-04

That's more complex than most 50s scifi movies I've heard of. Also I love that mankind's biggest enemy looks like a coffee machine.

MrBuddy - 2009-11-05

Yeahhhhh... you know I never really understood how this thing was supposed to be scary. Do you think it's the inspiration for Galacticus?

Albuquerque Halsey - 2009-11-04

An non-sentient alien energy-consuming Von Newman machine is probably the most realistic first contact scenario.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-11-04

It's kind of hard not to root for Kronos(!) in this movie. It's not that the people in the movie are detestable, it's just that Kronos(!) is so cool.

Rudy - 2009-11-04

So Kronos! attacks via emotional assault? Does it needle you about your drinking and ask why your still unmarried, (after all, you're not getting any younger)?

If so, then consider me terrified!

twinkieafternoon - 2009-11-04

Maybe you'd meet more boys and they would ask you out more if it weren't for your gigantic astro-body.

Robin Kestrel - 2009-11-04

The most bizarre 50s monster ever is clearly the brain-and-nerve creatures in "Fiend Without a Face".

This one is a close second, though, I'll give you that. KRONOS! Where, behind that building over there? Oh wait, he IS the building. Terrifying.

twinkieafternoon - 2009-11-04

Kronus' legs are the cutest things ever.

Merzbau - 2009-11-04

How have I not heard of this movie?!?!

I love the way it walks. And the wibbly sound it makes. And, now that I come to think of it, pretty much everything about it.

Rum Revenge - 2009-11-04

Why would this thing come to Earth? If it eats radiation and electricity, then why can't it just hang out next to a sun for a couple billion years?

AmericanAir - 2009-11-04

i'd go to the sun if i wanted electricity

dead_cat - 2009-11-04

Kronos! tried that for a few centuries, but finally decided that he needed more mental stimulation than talking to a giant ball of flame was going to provide.

snothouse - 2009-11-04

Stand here while I put this tube over you!

phalsebob - 2009-11-05

I thought I had seen every low budget 1950s SF and horror. I guess I am TERRIFYINGLY WRONG!
