Great moment in a fantastic episode.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-10-29

I don't remember this episode but this was great.

dementomstie - 2009-10-30

This is the "Tales of the Dark Knight" episode which had the kids each telling stories about Batman that they'd heard or that they wanted to be true. One is a campy 60's style Batman story complete with Bam and Pow effects when people get punched, one is based off of Frank Miller's Dark Knight story line where Batman fights the Mutants and Robin is a girl. It's a weird episode.

RomancingTrain - 2009-10-29

No mention of bat-nipples?

B. Weed - 2009-10-29

BS&P probably grumped about it (they did slip a bat-nipples joke into Batman: The Brave and the Bold, though.)

Rape Van Winkle - 2009-10-29

It drove up a wall in Batman Forever, which everyone knows was the "good" Schumacher Batman film.

Dinkin Flicka - 2009-10-29

This probably needs verifying, but something's telling me this is from some latter day Animated Series episode, when the drawing and storytelling changed considerably from (what you correctly said was) the best Batman cartoon.

Still a good joke though.

Sick Man - 2009-10-29

yeah I think this is the one where Michael Ironside voiced for Batman

fluffy - 2009-10-29

Yeah this looks like a later one.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-10-29

With Michael McKean as the Bill Finger Joker! Best episode in the entire run.

bac - 2009-10-29

I'm to lazy to go look up the specifics but yes, the best animated batman was the one that was originally on fox and started in the early nineties it's the same batman that had the Mask of the Phantasm movie, and also the Mr. Freeze movie, both done in the same animated style. Any of the other Batman cartoons were all on Cartoon Network and while good not nearly as good as Batman:The Animated Series (The description for this video is wrong) and renamed The Adventures of Batman and Robin for it's second season...fucking kids.

kingarthur - 2009-10-29

Thank you, Anal Retainer!

pastorofmuppets - 2009-10-30

I would have said the same. Some of us are old enough to have actually watched cartoons in the 90s :P

pastorofmuppets - 2009-10-30

Also, Mask of the Phantasm is by far the best Batman movie.

Rev. Blackson Pollock - 2009-10-30

Batman ran on fox for three seasons, then it was moved to the warner bros. network for the 4th season and they began using the same animators that were featured in the superman cartoon series but they kept much of the same voice talent.

Dinkin Flicka - 2009-10-30

These 5 are for bac for being knowledgeable enough to have the extensive information I so sorely lacked and the nerdiness to divulge that information, which I might have felt tentative about doing sober.

And to pastorofpuppets, all my extra love for correctly knowing and understanding that Mask of the Phantasm is the best Batman movie ever made - ever.

facek - 2009-10-30

This was from "The New Batman Adventures," the last of the Batman The Animated Series runs. It had Nightwing and Tim Drake Robin in it.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-10-29

I have to give those kids credit for being cool with Joel's open homosexuality. That's more mature than most kids could ever hope to be.

Rum Revenge - 2009-10-29

Stars for this comment.

infinite zest - 2009-10-30

fags

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-10-30

Maybe they can recommend to him an army man Halloween costume!

MrBuddy - 2009-10-30

Actually um... Schumacher was a fur coat store in Portland, Oregon. (http://www.schumacherfurs.com/) I'm guessing this is the animators' CMA in case Joel Schumacher decides to sue.

infinite zest - 2009-10-30

I'm not saying I like fur or anything (I don't) but those protesters were fucking assholes to that store
