I thought so -- that was Kairo (Paul Frees) doing George's voice.

This isn't your average evil, this is professional, all-star evil. Five stars for bottom of the barrel bad.

And that's how he met Yoko.

Spit Spingola - 2009-10-05

This is actually one of the more coherent Beatles cartoons I've seen.

From the Welshington Stonky's definitive Beatles biography, "The Mad Fad for Those Rad Lads":

Paul's insistence on enslaving John just because he had shrunk led to a minor feud between the two. The following week, when the band was accidentally sent back in time to 1349, John retaliated by convincing King Arthur that Paul was an expert dragonslayer, forcing him to run away from a dragon to the tune of "A Hard Day's Night." The pun was pointed out a half-dozen times.

Paul, in turn, returned the favor a week later when the band were accidentally turned into fish by Professor ChingChong's Fish Laser. Paul used John as bait (this pun was also heavily reinforced) so that he and the other Beatles could escape a rampaging shark to the tune of "Octopus' Garden in the Shade."

Not to be outdone, the following week John beat Paul to death with a tire iron and replaced him with a disguised Billy Preston (to the tune of "Help!")

That's because those are supposed to be Japanese people.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-10-05

5 stars for any instance of Paul Frees, ever, even the bad ones.

LetsFistAgain - 2009-10-05

Is it wrong that the only nostalgia this instilled in me was for the days when hatred of Japan was expected?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-10-05

Fun fact:

My mother used to make the "Ah-so" impression to me whenever this kind of thing came up in 60s movies or TV shows. When a six year old me repeated this horrifying display of cultural understanding to my grandmother and aunt, a huge argument ensued. My mother denied ever doing it, possibly because she was so drugged up watching the Beatles she didn't remember. I will never know.
