is this still a thing?

chumbucket - 2009-09-28

bumper stickers...oh and don't forget we need money to do this, whatever this is

RockBolt - 2009-09-28

To send faxes! Faxes cost big bucks

endlesschris - 2009-09-28

My ultimate hope is that after eight long years in office, after providing full health care benefits to all Americans, fixing the economy, and making peace with the Muslim world - that Obama reveals he was actually born in Kenya and that it in no way affected his ability to properly govern the country that he called home for the overwealming majority of his life.

The "Must've been born here" rule is useless.

Time Travel Mishap - 2009-09-28

and he should announce where he was born by just releasing a copy of his Kenyan birth certificate with the words "Suck it crackers" written in big letters across the front.

kelpfoot - 2009-09-28

There is no "born here" rule. The Constitution only requires that the president be a "natural born citizen," which you can get by being born within the jurisdiction of the US, OR by having at least one US citizen as a parent.

Incidentally, John McCain was born in Panama.

CharlesSmith - 2009-09-28

I love the birther movement. Every cent and every second these people spend on this asshattery is one less mote of resources they can spend on all their other causes, which unlike this might actually have a detrimental effect on society. This video was either going to be "Where was Obama born?" or "How do we best suppress gays?". These people keeping busy doing something irrelevant is the greatest positive impact they could have on Earth without erasing their personalities.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2009-09-28

Most people who see something hosted by someone who has a website called Live Prayer would immediately dismiss this. The sad part is most of the GOP base would accept it BECAUSE the guy hosts some evangelical website.

Rum Revenge - 2009-09-28

We can only wish the press controlled the president, and not the other way around.

Screw the auto industry, give newspaper comics a bailout. I wanna see full color Sunday pages again!

Jefka - 2009-09-28

got a birth certificate?

got an archaic pop culture reference?

Bort - 2009-09-28

I was expecting something like: "Where can you see Obama's birthplace? Only in Kenya!"

Vaidency - 2009-09-28

Had McCain won, I'm sure these guys would instead be running half-hour specials wondering about wether or not a US military base in Panama counts as "natural" American soil, right?

5 stars because their staunch declaration that a "certificate of live birth" is NOT the same thing as a "birth certificate" always cracks me up.

Charles - 2009-09-28

If McCain had won, I don't think it would have even occurred to these dipshits to question his place of birth.

Rudy - 2009-09-28

I just love the idea that they think Hawaii has a special Office of Live Birth Certification that does nothing but hand out Live Birth Certificates all day, no questions asked.

Ponasty - 2009-09-28

"certificate of live birth" vs "birth certificate" cracks me up too.
Makes me imagine some Doctors and politicians in Hawaii ordering some birth certificates back in the day and thinking that the syntax of the heading couldn't matter that much.

This is a masterstroke by Rohm Emmanuel to keep these asshats busy.

Stopheles - 2009-09-29

My son was born just over a year ago in New York City. The only proof we have that he wasn't smuggled in from Kenya is his birth certificate.

Which is a "Certificate of Live Birth."

joyofdiscord - 2009-10-01

It reminds me a little of Octomom, who didn't think she was on welfare because it's called "financial assistance."

Come to think of it, Orly Taitz reminds me a little of Octomom.

Udderdude - 2009-09-28

Come on, they have to be right! They're in an office! With books! And they're wearing suits! Gary Kreep has a pretty awesome tie, too.

Charles - 2009-09-28

Oh yeah, Also: Gary Kreep :D

is that his real name?

Randroid - 2009-09-28

Greetings Sir or Madame,

I am Dr. Gary Kreep (Esq.) of the United States Justice. I implore you to take the time to read this carefully as the decision you make will go off a long way to determine the future and continued existence of the entire white race. As of this moment, there is a birth certificate, belonging to a certain "B. Hussein Obama", awaiting to be released from customs in Nigeria. The release fee is 0, which

plug - 2009-09-28

For they'll send a fax on your behalf. How can you resist a bargain like that? They only use paper milled by virgins and blessed by the Pope.

aeso - 2009-09-28

Pretty sure these guys don't like Catholics either.

Enjoy - 2009-09-28

I like how Truthers are given plausability while Birthers, who might be 100% right but so what, are treated like crazies.

Rum Revenge - 2009-09-28

Did cena_mark have to register a new handle?

SolRo - 2009-09-28

Nah, enjoy is his own little island of stupid.

you can tell the difference because enjoy doesn't respond with -genius- plays on peoples names

rev.dinosaur - 2009-09-28

I'm interested in knowing of ONE single major media outlets that didn't treat Truthers like crazies?

Cheese - 2009-09-28

Where are truthers given plausibility?

eatenmyeyes - 2009-09-28

Enjoy's trolls are subtle and elegant. That's why we love him.

revdrew - 2009-09-28

Cena isn't half the man, or troll, that Enjoy is. They don't even compare.

kennydra - 2009-10-01

where cena is ham fisted, enjoy is prosciutto.

Xenocide - 2009-09-28

The cowardly press created Mr. Obama in Kenya to be president of America. This was done by sacrificing god-fearing conservative goats and fervently chanting editorials from the Utne Reader under a full moon, until the Hell-Child emerged from Keith Olberman's vagina.

THEIR PLAN WAS FLAWLESS. OR SO THEY THOUGHT.

mashedtater - 2009-09-28

these are for you. it's like you know my heart.

Goethe and ernie - 2009-09-28

Well. This and the "CO2 is green" ad on the same day, it's like a cosmic power is telling me not to feel bad about thinking Americans are very very stupid.

SolRo - 2009-09-28

welcome to the club

Old_Zircon - 2009-09-28

Disinfomercial

StanleyPain - 2009-09-28

I think this had been mentioned before, but even if Obama WAS born in Africa, it doesn't change anything. His mother fits the requirements of an American citizen and any child of hers born during that time period would be considered an American citizen as she fit those requirements as well.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-09-28

Right, but the point is that THE SEED OF DOUBT HAS BEEN PLANTED.

And the Antichrist walks.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-09-28

I love how much uncertainty they have to inject into everything they say to cover for their ignorance. The only thing I love more is how much drama they inject alongside it.

memedumpster - 2009-09-29

By the end of his eight years, he might be too embarrassed to admit he was born in this country.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-09-29

pastorofmuppets - 2009-09-29

The best is how quickly they flash that requirements graphic.

For those asking what the point of the movement is...it's that some people still can't wrap their heads around the idea of a black president. So they want to be convinced that he's an African trickster like Anansi the spider.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-28

Greetings from the future. It's the end of September in 2013, and I can tell you the idea of a non-white person being associated with a title containing "America" in it is still anathema to a lot of small-minded bigots of all ages:
